How does this inflation calculator work?

Future cost uses amount × (1 + rate)^years. Past value uses amount ÷ (1 + rate)^years. Sample: $100.00 after 10 years at 3% → about $134.39. You type the average rate—Nestfigure does not load official CPI tables.

Where do official U.S. inflation statistics come from?

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics publishes the Consumer Price Index (CPI) on bls.gov/cpi. Nestfigure is not a substitute for BLS data.

Can I prefill from a link?

Is this inflation calculator free?
